Every Christmas at Fluid, we like to make a charitable impact at a local level, to give back to our community. This year has been no different, and we set about devoting ourselves to the disadvantaged children who might not get the Christmas they deserve. And we might have got a bit carried away...
It took a team of 15 Fluid 'elves' to transform our photography studio, Flux, into a magical Santa’s grotto.
But it couldn't have happened without the generosity of our clients, team and friends, who donated over 90 gifts for us to share with the families that walked through the door last weekend.
We partnered with three local charities – Derby County Community Trust, Safe and Sound and Derby Theatre’s Plus One – who invited families to come and visit Santa's grotto, and take home a gift and photo to remember their day.
We welcomed almost 50 families through the grotto doors, and gave them a magical festive experience to remember.
Shelly, aka Berry, our chief Elf said: "Hearing the children have a brief magical moment with Santa and seeing the joy on the faces of the families in their beautifully staged photograph was truly heartwarming, and what Christmas is all about."
We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this happen, from those who donated gifts and decorations, to the actors who gave up their free time to play Santa, as well as the Fluid team members who gave up their weekends to bring some elf joy to our little corner of Derby.
A massive thank you must also be given to those who donated gifts:
